With warm water, a nice friendly left, and consistent afternoon winds averaging 17-25 knots, Mancora is a great home
base for riding Peru’s north shore. Though full of both surfers and kiters, the vibe on the water is relatively chill,
and makes for a great environment to hone your wave-riding skills before heading to the higher consequence waves in the south.
On an average day, shoulder high a-frames break for about 50 meters. Mancora does get pumping, and overhead walls can
extend for 200m with the right swell.
